We continued working on our 'Totalitarian Regimes' assignments. I watched the movie 'The Wave' this weekend and I think we might watch this in class. It is about a teacher who subtly uses authoritarian teaching methods in class to demonstrate to his students how a 'Hitler' type figure can rise to power. Things get out of hand. Totalitarian regimes are a lot like high school cliques, or gangs. People want to belong and people can prey on this desire.
