Time to get back on the wagon! It's been too long since I updated my blog. I am committing to blog everyday until the end of the semester! You can hold me to this.
Native Studies
In this final unit that we started this week we will be studying self-determination, social justice, and development in regards to native peoples. We will be focused on looking forward now that we have a general understanding of the past.
Development questions are due tomorrow!
History 20
"Pg. 695, Qs 1-7" are due today!
We got into the start of WWII today. We read pages 695 and 696 and had many different students participate by coming to the front to identify countries on the map. I threw the textbook because it didn't mention Canada, but did mention the USA, who hadn't even joined the war yet. I wish RJC had better texts in this regard. I guess it helps us to be critical learners. We ended the class listening to Churchill's "We will never surrender" speech. Tomorrow we will discuss the Battle of Britain and Hitler's decision to invade the USSR.
